OpenRaster is designed to be a standard, cross-platform image editing format that can be used by any graphics editing application. ORA files may contain multiple image layers as well as adjustment layers, layer effects, layer groups, and layer blending options. They may also include text, paths, saved selections, layer masks, and color profile information.
NOTE: The OpenRaster format was developed as an alternative to Adobe's .PSD format, which has stricter usage guidelines.
